We’ve been a lot more talk and a little less action around here the past couple of weeks what with waiting on the finishing touches of Olivia’s bathroom makeover to arrive and starting the beginning stages of a much-needed dining room spiff-up Robert and I are trying to squeeze in before the holidays. (On Friday, I’m revealing some even bigger plans too [huge ones, in fact], but I can’t share just yet.)
In the midst of all of this planning, I’ve been zooming around on a search for a new chandelier for the dining room.
Last week, I shared my vision for this space but didn’t really have an idea about the lighting situation.
This chandelier already in here looks okay and all, but in person, the beads look a bit plastic-y and there’s something about it I’m just not totally in love with.
Whatever will take its place, I’m really wanting some pop against that Ben Moore Kendall Charcoal paint color, since this bronze one sort of disappears against it. So we’re most likely selling it and putting what we make toward a new chandy to still stay in a reasonable budget.
I figured if I’m on the hunt for some pretty lighting, the chances are pretty good that some of you are too. So I’ve rounded up 24 gorgeous ones that look like they came straight from high-end designers but for a much tighter budget.

What’s your favorite in the bunch? I really don’t think I can even begin to pick the winner yet. Something about that Frenchy gray wooden one is calling to me though. And maybe the super blingy one. And the antique gold lanterns… see? I have issues over here. SOS: send more ceiling space.
