Mood boards of bedroom designs for traditional glam, Mid-Century Mod, and boho cottage styles for a small-ish budget.
True story: The summer before my Freshman year of college, I created mood boards of my dorm room. I “virtually shopped” all of my favorite stores and visualized a million different ways to decorate my new space that was approximately the size of a shoebox.
Before visualizing rooms on the computer, I even sketched out my bedroom with different looks on a notepad in middle school.
It’s one of my favorite things to do whenever I’m having a bit of a style identity crisis and have a total blank slate before me.
Lately, Robert and I have been thinking about tackling our guest bedroom sometime this year, and our own master bedroom has been feeling a little stale. So I thought it’d be fun to “try on” a few different looks with some ideas to keep it all under $1,000.
If this were an episode of Trading Spaces, we’d totally be rockin’ it right about now.

By the way, if you ever want to know how to create a mood board yourself, here’s a how-to. Warning: they’re kind of addictive.
Which one is your fave? I’m really leaning toward that top one as a possible master bedroom look. 😉
