Coastal Living Room Mood Board & Our Next BIG Project!

We’ve kind of caught the “bug” of wanting to jump into room makeovers in other houses lately. First with our friend Kristina’s “California Casual” powder room last week and now our neighbors’ living room that’s been needing a dose of love.

King and Heather are two super sweet people in our lives who we have felt truly blessed to live beside these last 3+ years. He’s a firefighter and she’s a teacher, and whenever I first saw their living room “den”, I was dying to get my hands on it.

The beams! The paneled walls! The big window nook! So. much. character.

Heather is originally from Charleston and the coast is a big piece of their hearts, so it seemed like the perfect space for a little coastal style to bring the beach to them.

So I put together a few mood boards with the vision for their living room. It’s going to be SO good! (If you ever want to know how to create your own mood boards, you can see my video tutorial here.)

Some of the decor we will make/upcycle ourselves and not all of these items will be exact, but this is what it will look like at least.

  1. It is so funny that y’all just added closets to your office but your neighbors don’t have the same needs so you’re eliminating their closets! It is going to look fabulous! Excited to follow along!

    1. Haha! I know. Opposite world over here. To be fair, their closet doors are soooo tiny that they don’t even function well as closets.
