Holiday Gift Guide 2016 + a Giveaway

Guess who has two thumbs and already has her Christmas gift shopping done?! Uh…someone else. Because it’s definitely not me.

I’ve made my list though. So that counts for something, right?

Since we’re coming up on the big holiday shopping season, I’ve teamed up with some of my blogger gal pals to share our best gift ideas for our 2016 Holiday Gift Guide. And I have a goooooood giveaway at the end of this post to help get you started too. Woot!

I know staying on budget is important, and it’s hard finding great gifts that don’t actually look cheap. So I’ve rounded up gift ideas for him and her at all different price ranges to make things easy. Best part, if you don’t like fighting the store crowds, all of these can be bought online. (‘Cuz mall traffic is a big ol’ nope.)

More importantly, I hope you give your time and love this Christmas. Because nothing you buy in a store could ever compare to that. The gifts that are full of heart and soul are the most precious of all, and they don’t even have to cost a penny.

“Every good and perfect gift comes from above.” – James 1:17

Do you have any great gift ideas of your own? Are you planning to make your own gifts this year or serve in some way? Have you already started your Christmas shopping/making? I better get on that. 😉

  1. Lauren, I love your gift giving ideas, but what don’t I like about your blog, nothing!!!!! Here’s a gift giving idea!! I write stories, this started when my daughters were little, one time I did not have any children’s books left that I hadn’t read to them, so I decided in a flash I would make up my own story for them at bedtime, next thing I knew I was telling them my own stories more than I was reading!!! Well as you know both of my daughters are grown up now with little children of their own, but every Christmas the present they look forward to the most unbelievably, is the Christmas story from Mom. This year will be very special it will feature my oldest daughter and her courageous battle with cancer. Believe me Lauren if I don’t write” the story”, this is such a Christmas let down, I always pray before writing the story and amazingly I never come up empty!! thank you Lord Jesus!!

  5. Thanks for the great ideas Lauren! I’ve been following your blog for a while now and it’s been so incredibly helpful after we moved into our house last year (also in Charlotte). We literally had to start from scratch as we moved from New England and had sold all of our stuff before we moved down here! You definitely helped me find my style. I love all your advice about DIY projects, thrifting, styling, and doing it all on a budget. I’m also a stay at home mom, am married to a Robert and have a 5-year-old little girl! 🙂 Just wanted to say thank you, you’re the only blog I follow and I just love seeing your e-mails in my inbox!
