Y’all, I had a moment this week. One of those moments when you feel purely overwhelmingly happy, and your heart overflows so much that you can’t even keep it in. They’re few and far between, but when it happens, nothing is better than realizing your dreams have come true.
“Thank you” can’t even sum up how grateful I am for y’all in letting me continue to do what I’m so passionate about with this blog. I love asking you guys for feedback because I truly want to help and be a bright spot in your day. Monday’s survey gave me so much direction!
If you’d still like to chime in, you can still check out the survey here. (And the giveaway with it runs until Sunday too.)
So here are the results and what they mean for the future of Bless’er House!
I was actually surprised to see so many non-bloggers here! And that’s great! One thing I realized was I really want to start including you guys in more sharing. Some of y’all mentioned that you didn’t really care much for the Thursday link parties, which I completely understand.
The link party will be getting some changes very soon, and I’ve decided that starting in a couple of weeks, I’ll start posting on Facebook for reader shares too. So if you’ve finished a DIY, craft, or project that your super proud of, I want to see it! And you don’t need a blog to show off your brilliance. I’ve already started asking more questions on my Facebook page so you all have the chance to teach me a thing or two from your own homes as well. It’s good stuff! This post particularly amazed me!
More details coming on all of that soon.
Many of you already see new posts through email, which is awesome! Facebook is really tricky because my posts are only sent to about 8% (at best) of my followers there. That means out of the 12,000+ followers of this blog on Facebook, only about 2,400 of you see my posts. That’s just sad. Mean ol’ Facebook.
If you want to keep in the loop, you can subscribe to get new posts emailed. (It’s free. No worries.)
Y’all’s favorite posts are my favorites too! It makes me wish I share a room reveal every week.
I was really surprised that you guys want more tips for decor shopping on a budget, so I plan to start providing sources on my favorite places to shop for home decor and how to buy it at a discount very soon. I might even throw in a few shopping guides here and there with items that I’d buy for my own home if you’re a fan of my style. It’ll be like shopping with your best girlfriends, right?
I’ve gotten questions about some of these possibilities before, and I wanted to throw this out there to see if there is anything I could produce that could help you in some way. My goal is always to help.
A lot of y’all are ready for me to open an Etsy shop, but I know that’s a tough one for my family and I at the moment. Shops take tons of time and resources to mass produce merchandise, so maybe we’ll revisit that idea down the road in a few years when the kiddo is a bit more grown.
Interior design services might be happening soon! I’m in the brainstorming phase on that one. Of course, I would have the same focus in clients’ homes as I do for my own: pull off a pretty design for as inexpensively as possible. In the end, I might even be able to save you more money than if you designed it on your own! And that’s always a win-win.
And about that ebook idea…
I’ve actually already working on an ebook draft (eek!), and I’ll probably regret throwing that information out there so early. But you guys gave me a lot of direction I needed! You’ll probably be seeing more details on that soon.
Looks like I’ll keep the momentum going with about 3 posts per week, which is the perfect sweet spot for me. Yay!
Many of you are happy with the way things are, so thank you! I’m so glad to hear that!
I can’t wait to see what the future holds. What do you think? If you have anything else to say, please feel free to share in the comments!
