Bless’er House Budget Decorating Community

Iโ€™ve been keeping a tiny secret from you guys. Okay, actually itโ€™s bigโ€ฆ HUGE!

First of all, have you noticed things look a bit different on this olโ€™ blog?

We got a new website design, and itโ€™s so pretty I want to pet it. (*Lovingly rubs computer screen.*)

I hope this makes everything much easier to navigate now. Oh, and our house tours with all of our sources and paint colors are finally up to date. Wee!

Anywho, thereโ€™s one other change thatโ€™s an even bigger deal. Today marks the official launch of the Blessโ€™er House Budget Decorating Community!!!!!!!!!!! (The invitation is in your email today, if you’re already a subscriber.)

A free budget decorating community with thrifty home decorating inspiration, advice, free printables, tutorials, and encouragement.
It deserves that many exclamation points, trust me.

For so long, Iโ€™ve felt like Iโ€™ve been treading water on this blog, just sharing projects Robert and I have done in our own home and responding to Instagram/Facebook messages and emails from yโ€™all answering individual decorating questions as much as I can. But I never felt like I was actively HELPING yโ€™all with the journeys in your OWN homes. Not really.ย

Friendship is a two-lane road, and Iโ€™ve been so thankful for you guys cheering us on in this house of ours, but I never could figure out a way to really encourage you back. Until now that is.

So Iโ€™ve started a secret Facebook group for all of my Blessโ€™er House email subscribers where you all can share photos of your own homes, ask for decorating advice, share ideas, and be encouraged and empowered to do it all on a reasonable budget (ripping down walls and splurging for designer furnishings not necessary).

-Tips for painting a thrifted piece of furniture you just found

-Help choosing the perfect paint color for your space

-Advice on furniture arranging

-Ideas for getting the most function out of your home while still making it pretty

-Where to find the best decor sales and coupons

-DIY-friendly inspirations for all skill levels

It’s going to be SO much fun.

And at the end of the month, I’ll choose 1 room that one of you shares to create a free room design makeover plan. Eek!

A free budget decorating community with thrifty home decorating inspiration, advice, free printables, tutorials, and encouragement.

Are you as excited as I am?! Because Iโ€™m practically doing backflips over here.

If youโ€™re already an email subscriber, just click the link in your invitation email that was sent today.

  1. Hi There! I joined and received my confirmation email, but no link to Facebook. Help! This seems like a wonderful idea and I would love to be a part of it.

  2. Ive tried twice to sign up and I having gotten an email. Would love to be added if possible. TIA

    1. Hi Marisa,
I was having some technical difficulties at the beginning with the link, but it all has been resolved. You can try again or I did send you an invitation. So please check your Facebook. Thank you for your patience. Sometimes technology is not my friend!

  3. As the โ€œnew blogโ€ web page has no menu to further click into, and taking into account your new venture in Facebook (Iโ€™m not one of Facebookโ€™s commodityโ€™s) does this mean there will basically be nothing on the blog in the future??
You are aware the landing page here is a colored blank page right? And this page for comments is all there is. Iโ€™m bummed that it appears this web page just redirects to Facebook and comments. No more links to projects, resources etc etc. Looks like Iโ€™m singed on all aspects of being a subscriber to a blog web page with nothing. Last but not least any bookmarks I had previously made, those links work (for now) where is all the rest? Not sure who the techno wizard is but is that going to be fixed to access without being forced to sign up to Facebook?
    Thanks in advance for answers!

    1. No no no! Not at all. I’ll still be sharing on the blog like I always do. The Facebook group is just a place where others can get decorating advice. ๐Ÿ™‚ You certainly don’t have to join and certainly aren’t being forced. It’s just meant to be an extra something fun to get help in your own house. Yes, I’ve been dealing with that technical issue all day for the link not functioning and am working on a solution. There is not a team of “techno wizards” as you say around here. It’s just little ol’ me doing the best I can. There are still several glitches with the new site design that I’m working out, so please bare with me.

      1. Whew!! A great relief knowing the blog and all the rest of goodies are staying intact! Iโ€™ll remain on the blog side of internet access versus the FB version, thinking of all the controversy regarding privacy including how โ€œgroupsโ€ are not fail safe from intrusions.
Sorry you are having a tussle with the techno side, I know just enough coding for linking and placement of images and text, otherwise Iโ€™d offer to assist behind the scenes.
        Thanks heaps
