Mood Board Monday: 3 Living Room Ideas Under $2,000
3 modern classic living room mood board designs using decor and furniture from Walmart for a designer look for less.
This post is sponsored by Walmart.
As I type this, I am sitting at my parents’ kitchen table because, over the weekend, our house decided to spring a leak. If you ever feel bored and need some spice in your life, buy an old house. There’s always an exciting surprise right around the corner. 😉
While we dealt with insurance claims for a faulty HVAC repair and arrangements to repair water damaged sheetrock, I decided I needed a distraction. (Who wouldn’t in that situation, ya know?)
So now seemed like a good time for another Mood Board Monday. I honestly needed this escape to “virtual design land” today. After the last one, many of you requested living room ideas, so I pulled together 3 modern-meets-classic living room mood boards using items from Walmart.
All of them are budget-friendly without actually looking budget-friendly. Walmart Home has really stepped up their game with mid-century-mod-meets-classic revivals; several of these pieces ended up in my cart for future room makeovers.

Keep up the good work, it’s hell lot inspiring!!
The boards are all lovely and I’m sure when in a room would look beautiful. My concern is the quality of pieces that are quite inexpensive. I never believe you have to buy the highest price anything, but saying that, I would have real concern about how long the $329. navy sofa will hold up…even the other two at $550+. If someone is planning on using it for only a year and then leaving it when they move or are just staging to sell…then great. Go for it. If some one is buying and planning to use their furniture for years, then buy quality as you can afford it.
