Stylish Recliners for a Budget

A few days ago, the tricky subject of recliners came up in the Bless’er House Budget Decorating Group. (If you want some awesome home ideas, personal decorating help in your house, and a place where you can ask free design questions, you can join the group here.)

It is so hard to find pretty recliners, especially ones that don’t cost an arm and a leg. So talking about them in the group started me on a curiosity hunt, and I figured I would share them for any of you who like the comfort of recliners without wanting them to look like giant marshmallow-y eyesores in your living room and without the $2K high-end designer price tag.

A shopping guide round-up with 22 stylish recliners on a budget that don't LOOK like recliners. #recliners #shoppingguide #furniture

I have a feeling one of these might end up in the nursery soon because there’s nothing like cuddling with a newborn in a rocking recliner.

So many of these don’t even look like recliners; I would never know they were if the websites didn’t show pictures of them actually in the reclined positions.

I found a whole bunch for less than $500, and a few more high quality leather ones for around $1,000 in hopes that it’ll make sticking to a tight budget a little easier for you. And many of them come in several different colors.

Would you like to save this?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!

Most are majorly marked down at big discounts for July 4th this week too. Woot!

Do you have a favorite? Mine are definitely the gray wingback glider and the tufted linen look club chair. Swoon!

  1. Nice to see I am not the only one who thinks recliners are UGLY. They usually look like Jabba the Hut from star wars.

  2. I love all of these recliners. My issue is I need a Big and Tall recliner for my husband. He is 6’3”. All of the attractive recliners I like are too small for him.

  3. I was just wanting a new narrow recliner in a mid century style. You found the West Elm one assembled in the USA. I think I’m ordering it as there’s a coupon for the Fourth. I hope my hubby finds it comfy.!

  4. Ok this is genius! My husband is always asking for a recliner but most of them are so not my style (pretty sure mid-century recliners don’t exist, ha!). But I’m loving these picks, thanks for sharing!

  5. I have never purchased furniture online but I am going to have to think about trying the Sutter Recliner from Joss & Main. Hmmm wonder if they ever have coupons? Thanks for the ideas!
