Baby Sprout Gender Reveal
We interrupt our usual decorating and DIYing shenanigans to bring you a life update.
If you’ve been following along for a couple of months, you probably already know we have a bun in the oven.

Ever since the day we found out we were expecting this little one, we’ve been calling him/her Baby Sprout. (Olivia’s nickname is Bug [Livie Bug], so Sprout just seemed fitting alongside hers.)
Spoiler alert though! Last week, we found out if little Sprout is a him or a her!
We had a quick DIY photo shoot in the soon-to-be nursery to commemorate.

Any guesses? Last chance. ๐

Oh, I had no idea Lola snuck in and decided to sit right next to me while we took this picture. The look on her face says, “Really, Mom? When am I going to be an only child again?”
So… Baby Sprout is a…

GIRL!!!!!
We are SO excited to meet Regan Emma Laine in October!
(Fun fact: She will have the same initials as Robert, who also has two middle names. Her first name was invented by Shakespeare, just like Olivia’s [we have a thing for Shakespeare around here]. And “Emma” and “Laine” are family middle names handed down by me, my mother, and my great-grandmother.)

Let the nursery planning begin! Eek!
After we finish Olivia’s room, of course.

Congratulations! We have a Reagan too (different spelling). We went with Strang as a middle name (my mom’s maiden name and my middle name). She is 4 1/2 and full of sass and spunk ๐
Aw love it! Olivia has plenty of sass and spunk to go around too. I’d expect nothing less from this next little one. ๐
So exciting! Love her name too! (And I might be having a blond moment, but how did you find out it’s a girl… with the paint cans? or was that just for the blog announcement? Sorry if I’m being slow!!) xo
We did a blood test. They’re able to tell using the baby’s DNA in my blood and reading the chromosomes. You can find out so much earlier these days! I had to wait until my 20 week ultrasound to find out when I was pregnant with Olivia.
Oh, for the paint cans, that was just something fun we figured we’d do for a picture. We were so impatient that we pulled out the envelope from the doctor and read the gender over dinner with family. Low-key and simple. Couldn’t leave that alone without doing a photo shoot after though. ๐
This is so exciting!
Congratulations! I like the idea of choosing Shakespearean names–can’t go wrong with the classics ๐
Congratulations to the Shavers. Our family has a wonderful habit of birthing beautiful baby girls. I love her name. Regan (just like Lauren ) has been a long time favorite of mine. And of course Emma…..(mother would love that). Thanks for honoring her.
