Bless’er House Budget Decorating Community

I’ve been keeping a tiny secret from you guys. Okay, actually it’s big… HUGE!

First of all, have you noticed things look a bit different on this ol’ blog?

We got a new website design, and it’s so pretty I want to pet it. (*Lovingly rubs computer screen.*)

I hope this makes everything much easier to navigate now. Oh, and our house tours with all of our sources and paint colors are finally up to date. Wee!

Anywho, there’s one other change that’s an even bigger deal. Today marks the official launch of the Bless’er House Budget Decorating Community!!!!!!!!!!! (The invitation is in your email today, if you’re already a subscriber.)

A free budget decorating community with thrifty home decorating inspiration, advice, free printables, tutorials, and encouragement.
It deserves that many exclamation points, trust me.

For so long, I’ve felt like I’ve been treading water on this blog, just sharing projects Robert and I have done in our own home and responding to Instagram/Facebook messages and emails from y’all answering individual decorating questions as much as I can. But I never felt like I was actively HELPING y’all with the journeys in your OWN homes. Not really.

Friendship is a two-lane road, and I’ve been so thankful for you guys cheering us on in this house of ours, but I never could figure out a way to really encourage you back. Until now that is.

So I’ve started a secret Facebook group for all of my Bless’er House email subscribers where you all can share photos of your own homes, ask for decorating advice, share ideas, and be encouraged and empowered to do it all on a reasonable budget (ripping down walls and splurging for designer furnishings not necessary).

-Tips for painting a thrifted piece of furniture you just found

-Help choosing the perfect paint color for your space

-Advice on furniture arranging

-Ideas for getting the most function out of your home while still making it pretty

-Where to find the best decor sales and coupons

-DIY-friendly inspirations for all skill levels

It’s going to be SO much fun.

And at the end of the month, I’ll choose 1 room that one of you shares to create a free room design makeover plan. Eek!

A free budget decorating community with thrifty home decorating inspiration, advice, free printables, tutorials, and encouragement.

Are you as excited as I am?! Because I’m practically doing backflips over here.

  1. Hi There! I joined and received my confirmation email, but no link to Facebook. Help! This seems like a wonderful idea and I would love to be a part of it.

  2. Ive tried twice to sign up and I having gotten an email. Would love to be added if possible. TIA

    1. Hi Marisa,
I was having some technical difficulties at the beginning with the link, but it all has been resolved. You can try again or I did send you an invitation. So please check your Facebook. Thank you for your patience. Sometimes technology is not my friend!

  3. As the “new blog” web page has no menu to further click into, and taking into account your new venture in Facebook (I’m not one of Facebook’s commodity’s) does this mean there will basically be nothing on the blog in the future??
You are aware the landing page here is a colored blank page right? And this page for comments is all there is. I’m bummed that it appears this web page just redirects to Facebook and comments. No more links to projects, resources etc etc. Looks like I’m singed on all aspects of being a subscriber to a blog web page with nothing. Last but not least any bookmarks I had previously made, those links work (for now) where is all the rest? Not sure who the techno wizard is but is that going to be fixed to access without being forced to sign up to Facebook?
    Thanks in advance for answers!

    1. No no no! Not at all. I’ll still be sharing on the blog like I always do. The Facebook group is just a place where others can get decorating advice. 🙂 You certainly don’t have to join and certainly aren’t being forced. It’s just meant to be an extra something fun to get help in your own house. Yes, I’ve been dealing with that technical issue all day for the link not functioning and am working on a solution. There is not a team of “techno wizards” as you say around here. It’s just little ol’ me doing the best I can. There are still several glitches with the new site design that I’m working out, so please bare with me.

      1. Whew!! A great relief knowing the blog and all the rest of goodies are staying intact! I’ll remain on the blog side of internet access versus the FB version, thinking of all the controversy regarding privacy including how “groups” are not fail safe from intrusions.
Sorry you are having a tussle with the techno side, I know just enough coding for linking and placement of images and text, otherwise I’d offer to assist behind the scenes.
        Thanks heaps

  4. Hello! I like your new format (and liked your old one as well) but I wanted to let you know that it shows up with a white screen and I do not see the blog header and details until I scroll down. It did not do this with your previous format.

    Best wishes, Sonya

    1. Thanks for letting me know, Sonya! We still have a lot of kinks to work out. Hoping we get it all sorted out soon! Technology is not usually my friend.

  5. Hi, I accidentally deleted the email – can you resend? The link above does not work, it says Page Not Found.

  7. Oh my word! I want to cry. I am in the middle of my house project and I need help soooo badly. I can’t get the link to work either. Will it be available today. The painter is painting my house THIS WEEK and I am still nervous about the white I picked out. lol!

    1. Hi Kimberly! I think I just fixed the link, so if you still run into issues let me know. 🙂 So glad that this can help you!

  8. I’m getting the same error message as Carol. Pretty excited about this group though – I need soooo much help!

  9. Lauren, when I click the link in the email, it takes me to Facebook but it says I don’t have permission to view the page.

  10. Lauren I click the link but it won’t show me the Facebook page. 🙁 I have not yet gotten an e-mail invitation (I have been a subscriber for awhile) so I will just wait…with baited breath…lol I can’t wait to join up the Facebook group! 🙂

    1. Hi Claudine! I’ll send you an email directly. 🙂 Sometimes my emails end up in spam or a different folder.
