Home Office & Homework Station Desks & Chairs Under $250

A round up of 40 budget-friendly desks and office chairs perfect for working from home or homeschooling.

2020 is definitely the year of the home office and homework station. And we’ve tackled both this year…

Even though it was our plan to make those two spaces happen even all the way back during our 2020 New Year’s house resolution plans before our current events were even on our radar.

Whenever I posted Olivia’s homework station on Instagram yesterday, I received a bunch of requests from y’all in my inbox for suggestions on not-so-pricey desks and office chairs.

So I scoured my favorite furniture places online to dig up my favorites for under $250.

I had two criteria:

1. The desks had to have some extra function than just a flat surface… storage or standing desk capabilities or small space friendly that would allow it to fold up out of the way when not in use.

2. And they had to have good reviews/ratings because I nerd out about that stuff.

Would you like to save this?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!

If you’re working from home or homeschooling/virtual schooling, I hope it helps you in whatever challenge you’re facing right now.

A great, dedicated work space really does make life so much easier and can help contribute to better work/life balance on the end. Ask me how I know. 😉

Hang in there! We can do this.

  1. Hi there!
What type of light fixture is that in the office pic with the grey chairs? neat! So enjoying your site, getting so many ideas. Thank you for replying about your tapestry on another post. I ended up getting it printed on wrapping paper (bc I had a coupon and credits for that) and have since framed (without glass) it in a large thrifted blue frame similar to your beautiful playroom shelves. When I get a space open I’m so going to hang similar tapestries as you did… thinking one would look cool on the big blank wall in the stairwell…lovely! Thanks again.
