Classic Decor Spotlight: Scenic Wall Mural Wallpaper

20 peel and stick scenic mural wallpaper for all budgets that look like antique bespoke landscape murals without the commitment.

Famous last words: “I will never put a mural on my wall.”

Because I said that 10-ish years ago and now… lo and behold, I’m eating my words. Wallpaper companies have stepped up the wall mural game in the last decade, and I’m here for it!

Sometime last year, while scrolling on Instagram, I saw this gorgeous green and blue scenic wall mural with chunky molding, and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head ever since. It seemed right to add it to the Classic Decor Spotlight series with all of the other never-really-goes-out-of-style decor.

I’m currently in the whirlwind of sifting through scenic wall mural wallpaper samples for our dining room right this minute.

Even though they’re coming back “into trend” currently, they’re another one of those classic decor revivals that will always be “in”. Particularly the ones that look like bespoke antique hand-painted scenic landscapes.

So I sifted through hundreds, maybe even thousands, to round up a bunch of my favorite scenic wall mural wallpaper that look like antique custom mural work.

And the best part is many are peel and stick, so if one day you decide you want to change the look, there’s zero long-term commitment.

Which one is your favorite? I have a few in the “top 3” pile, but it’s proving so hard to find the official winner.

  1. Most of the good looking murals have nothing mounted on the walls…hint hint, there go all your paintings, mirrors etc., The sample of the bathroom with that gold mirror…the mirror just about ruins it for me. MANY of the mural samples are totally lovely but I don’t think it would work with someone who likes to fool around with decor.

    1. Good point. That’s very true. I might have to let go of my mirrors here, but maybe I’ll just relocate them to another room instead. 🙂

  2. Going top to bottom I like 5,7,11, 14 and 19. I don’t know that I could pick a favorite without really looking at them close up. If I could I would get one of Miki Karni’s paintings as a mural; or just one of the painting to hang in my house.
Good luck Lauren, God bless, can’t wait to see what you choose!

  3. Ok so my top two are the first row second one and then the one in the middle. Especially with your paint color. I use to have murals in my house that I hand painted. Nothing like these, They were in my kids rooms.
