20 Neutral Accent Chairs for a Tight Budget

Even though I can’t quite show y’all any pictures of our new house (the current homeowners are still moving out, and I didn’t feel right photographing all of their belongings in the house), I’ve been pinning and planning and virtual shopping like a crazy woman.

As soon as we close, we plan on tackling the living room first since that’s where we spend the majority of our time. So searching for the perfect accent chairs for the space has been on my radar lately.

I always prefer sticking to neutral furniture because it’s much easier and cheaper to change up the space when I want to switch up colors or patterns later or if I want to freshen up the look throughout the changing seasons. If you’ve been on the lookout for one too, here are some of my favorite neutral accent chairs for a tight budget, many of them for less than $300.

Which one is your favorite? We plan on keeping our white IKEA Ektorp couch with a pair of these. I cannot decide!

I’ve been looking around at lighting and paint colors and all kinds of inspiration lately too to really get my gears turning, so if you follow me on Pinterest, you might have already noticed I’m going nuts with ideas over here. 😉

  1. Aw, this reminds me of when we bought our first house last April! 🙂 I spent so much time dreaming and planning each of our rooms… It was so much fun!! I love all of the choices but especially like the Tafton Tufted Fabric Club Chair from Target. It looks classic but also has some sophisticated details. It would look lovely with some throws or sheepskin draped on the arm. Hope you have a blast in your new house!

  2. Hi Lauren, you must be having so much fun dreaming up ideas for the new house. Knowing you two, it will be awesome once it has had your farmhouse touch. I love the curved tufted chair(tufted back and seat)and think it would look lovely with the ikea couch.
I am in the process of getting my blog and shop up and thought it would be great to have some posts written and up my sleeve. Well, being a terrible speller makes it more interesting than i thought. We have been using your post on starting a blog, which has saved me from many more grey hairs. My hair and vanity thank you for your awesome blog post.

    1. Haha! So glad it could help, Relle! Best wishes on your new adventure! Don’t even worry about the little mistakes. Just dive in and have fun with it. Thanks so much for the input on the chair! I’ve been thinking that might be the winner too.
