Chinoiserie is officially having a come-back moment. I mean, to be fair, it never really went anywhere. It’s always been and always will be a staple of classic decor, so it deserved to be added to the Classic Decor Spotlight series.

But chinoiserie ceramics are starting to pop-up in the more “trendy” decorating realm lately too. Right up there with antique gold mirrors and busts.

The other week, when I found this chinoiserie vase to give to my mom for Mother’s Day, I ended up down the rabbit hole of all things chinoiserie ceramics. I’m totally in love!

  1. Don’t start collecting this stuff. I got my first piece at Goodwill about a year ago. I now have 26 pieces and my husband won’t let me in an antique store without him. It’s a sickness I tell ya.
