Cozy Shower Lamps Are Trending – Here Are the Best Ones to Try

You know when a decorating trend feels like it was made for you? That’s how I felt when I stumbled on the viral shower lamps trend a few weeks ago.
I didn’t know I needed a cozy little lamp in the shower until I tried it myself—but now? I’m fully converted.
A while back, I gave our girls’ bathroom a little glow-up by hanging floor-to-ceiling shower curtains. It was such a simple upgrade, but it instantly made the space feel taller, grander, and more like a boutique hotel.
But… it created a new problem.
Those beautiful tall curtains? Yeah, they blocked nearly all the light into the shower. Suddenly, the shower felt like a dark little cave. Not exactly the vibe I was going for.

So I gave in to the shower lamp trend I saw on TikTok. I plopped this waterproof cordless lamp right on one of the shower shelves, and oh my stars… it completely changed the entire feel of the bathroom!
That soft glow made the space feel so much warmer and inviting, and bonus—it solved the lighting problem.
Honestly? I loved it so much, I’m already planning to add a shower lamp to our own primary bathroom. There’s something about that little touch of unexpected coziness that makes you feel like you’re in a fancy spa, even if there are bath toys floating around.
Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a waterproof Bluetooth speaker to go with it for the full multi-sensory experience. (Steal my Cozy Home playlist and vibe out.)

Why Shower Lamps Are the Coziest (and Easiest) Bathroom Trend Right Now
Honestly, the charm is in the simplicity:
- They’re cordless. These lamps are rechargeable, which means no risky cords near water (safety first, friends).
- They’re waterproof. These aren’t your typical table lamps. They’re designed to handle moisture and humidity like champs. They’re great for using outdoors on patios too.
- They create instant spa vibes. There’s something about that warm, cozy glow that makes even a 5-minute shower feel indulgent.
- They’re made without glass. So no worries if you get the dropsies.
- They help with lighting problems. If you’ve got a shower with no built-in lighting (or tall curtains like me), this is a quick fix that looks designer but takes 2 seconds. I wish I’d known about this back before we remodeled our dark beige 1980s shower.

My Favorite Shower Lamps to Try
There are several cute, functional shower lamps out there now, so I did a little shopping for you. Here are a few of my faves:

1. Bamboo Look Waterproof Rechargeable Lamp
I absolutely love the bamboo-inspired design that looks like it came straight from Serena & Lily.

2. Shower Lamp with Built In Bluetooth Speaker
It has a speaker built right in! ‘Nuf said. And you can set it to play a light show while you sing Defying Gravity at the top of your lungs in the shower. (I know I’m not the only one who would do that.)

3. Waterproof Rechargeable Lantern
The flame-look in this modern lantern is a whole mood.

Sometimes the tiniest touches make the biggest difference in how a space feels. And this is one of those trends that feels just as good as it looks.
Is this a trend you think you’ll try?

Clever idea and it looks great in your shower! But I’m so lazy that I just see it as one more thing to wipe down after using the shower LOL!
We don’t need a shower lamp as we have an overhead light in the shower and glass shower doors. However, I can think of places to use these other than the shower, like on a bookshelf/hutch, mantle, kitchen counter, kids room, etc. Basically anywhere you can’t plug something in but want some accent lighting, or in the case of kids room, something unbreakable that doesn’t involve a cord for them to play with. I like using candles, especially in fall and winter, but this would be a nice alternative that looks different and doesn’t use batteries. Thanks for sharing, as I don’t follow TikTok and got off IG and didn’t know about them!
Yes! It comes in handy for sure.
I’ve never been on trend, and we don’t have a lamp in the shower, but we have lamps on every vanity/sink area in all the bathrooms and love them. The beautiful glow it adds to the evening is magnificent, creating the perfect time to shower. It can change anyone’s bad day into a peaceful evening. Great post.
That sounds beautiful! Lamps really are some kind of magic.
Where did you get that shade in the window? So pretty
Thanks! I got it from Blinds.com several years ago. I don’t think they make that material anymore unfortunately.
Nice post. Tell more about the acrylic shelves. I have ceramic tiles in my bathroom and those suction cups sometimes fail. Did you reinforce them in some way?
Yes! They’re stick on. I had to let the adhesive set up for 24 hours before a screwed the shelves to the adhesive strips. It’s been about a month and so far so good!
