Best Places to Do Antique Shopping Online for Furniture and Home Decor
I have scored a LOT of vintage and antique furniture on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace over the years.
But lately, scams on those classified sites have been on the rise. I still love shopping there, but I feel much more comfortable doing antique shopping online from places where I know I won’t be scammed. (Not to mention, driving to meet a complete stranger to pick up that antique item can be a little scary.)
Browsing local estate sales and antique malls are so much fun, but it’s a scavenger hunt that requires time and energy to visit them in person.
Sometimes I just want to browse for antiques from my own couch, you know? Like “antique and chill”. I’ve discovered a lot of great antique furniture pieces online lately, most recently this huge Victorian Era mirror I bought for our hallway!
Those carved details have my heart!
Pay no mind to the unpainted picture frame molding (and there’s a giant hole ripped out of the ceiling where the attic fan vent used to be). We’re a work in progress around here.
But this mirror already makes our little hallway look bigger, don’t you think?
I put together a big list of all of the best online antique shops to make browsing more convenient. (Plus, it’s just a fun pastime to do when you’re scrolling on your phone while watching Netflix in the evenings.)
Some affiliate links are provided below. Full disclosure
1. Chairish
My go-to site that has furniture and home decor from just about every era imaginable. Although, prices are often steeper than other places. It’s still a good place to look when you’re on the hunt for a very specific item.
2. Rejuvenation Vintage
A highly curated shop of vintage furnishings by the same company that owns Williams Sonoma. The selection is smaller than most stores, but the quality is fantastic. Prices can be hit or miss. (I found my Victorian mirror there for a very reasonable price though.)
3. 1st Dibs
This site is like a polished version of eBay. You can bid on antique pieces through auctions. It is rather on the pricey side like Chairish, but sometimes you can get lucky by bidding on a diamond in the rough.
4. Etsy
Even though it’s well known for crafts and handmade items, Etsy has so many well curated shops run by small business owners for everything from vintage furniture to art to bedding. *For some of the shops, you do have to be local for pickup-only items, so keep an eye out for local shops in your area as you browse.
5. eBay
It’s the O.G. of online vintage shopping, but you do have to watch out for scammers a bit. eBay does a little better job of protecting you from scammers than Facebook Marketplace, but be wary of them as you browse by looking at vendor ratings.
6. Ruby Lane
The best site to visit for vintage collectibles and smaller decor. If you’re a fan of unique accents, this is the place to go.
7. Everything But The House
This is basically a huge online marketplace for great estate sale finds! Similarly to eBay, it also has an auction type of setup. So there is huge potential to score antique finds for a great deal.
8. One Kings Lane
Even though it’s known for new furniture and decor similar to Wayfair, it has a fairly large selection of vintage and antique housewares.
9. Elsie Green
If you love antique French style, this site has lots of beautiful finds, particularly original pieces of French art.
10. Jayson Home
More on the luxury side of antique shopping, this site is a well known resource for high end interior designers.

13. Vintage Keepers
This site has a small but well-curated vintage furniture and lighting selection. If you’re looking for smaller decorative accents though, it’s a good place to find something unique.

19. Mercantile 1858
A good stop if you’re on the hunt for smaller decorative pieces or kitchen wares.

40. The Renner Project
Be warned: this online shop is pricey. But even if its out of your budget, it’s interesting to browse.
